Hey everybody on the World Wide Web, Let me start by saying that I LOVE music (in almost every form/fashion/genre it comes in) . Music is my passion and I love the feeling I get when I see the people on the dance floor react to the tracks I'm playing for them just knowing that what I'm doin behind the decks is having a direct effect on everyone's good time (that's a truly addictive feeling). Now for a lil background history on me. I started out collecting records around 86-87 & I started DJn around 1991. I've been in a few DJ contests over the years & I have also pressed my 1st record on my own imprint PressYur Trax 2 Vinyl Records a few years back. In both my DJn & music production I do not like to limit myself to a certain style or genre, rather I try to see what's goin on in as many flavors/styles/genres of music that I can get in my ears & then with that musical knowledge I can incorporate certain aspects from each of them in new & exciting ways for my audiences. Now when people ask me what type of music I enjoy playing usually give them the list of genres I can hold it down in. Those include House, Breaks, DnB, Chillout/downtempo, Acid jazz, Disco, Techno & I also have a selection of Ol' skool hip hop, Experimental stuff and a few other surprises here and there. It has been thru this multi genre appreciation of music that I have been given the opportunities to be able to perform @ such functions as ambient gatherings w/both Andy Hughes and LX Patterson of the Orb, funky break parties w/Robbie and Gavin Hardkiss, Huda Hudia & Sweet Charlie, warehouse shindigs w/Brett Johnson, Boo Williams and Glenn Underground and DnB raves w/Dieselboy, AK1200, Squirt and most of the Jungle Sky crew. I am currently available for booking & I am always more than happy to perform for any size crowd, pretty much anywhere that an opportunity presents itself. Music is my passion.... Recently made the change to the digital world with a Pioneer DDJ1000 so hopefully more mixes to come. My main genres are Deep House/ Melodic House and breakbeat although my roots are from early Trance and also like Liquid Drum and Bass. All music audio files used on my mixes are full lossless WAV’s and all the mixes are encoded to 320kbps MP3 at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz for best sound quality possible. Mikey G, notorious for his hard-hitting, unique sets, is a DJ from Birmingham, now living in Leicester, UK. Mikey grew up listening to a wide variety of dance music and was heavily influenced by the bass heavy music being played around the midlands. He gained a huge interest in Drum & Bass, Garage and Speed Garage. Having been to hundreds of dance events, he decided to learn to DJ himself and began honing his skills, and was soon booked to play at local club nights. He started playing at various Drum & Bass events around the UK and supported numerous big name DJ’s across the scene. He became interested in ‘Jackin House’ and ‘House & Bass’, new styles of music giving a fresh twist on the Garage tunes he grew up listening to. He began DJ’ing at events regularly across the Midlands and as his popularity grew, so did his busy Dj’ing schedule - which is now frequently jam-packed, playing for many various club nights in the House and D&B scene. In August 2015 Mikey was asked to play at the closing party at Summerfest, a world leading skydive event in Chicago USA. After delivering a 6hr non-stop marathon set, he didn't disappoint! Mikey regularly posts live mixes on his Soundcloud page which have gained a large world-wide audience and are eagerly anticipated by many. Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham).This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.
